For 2026, Manchester University Press has included 19 titles from the politics frontlist (published between August 2025 and July 2026) in the Open Politics initiative. By participating in Open Politics, libraries contribute significantly to the dissemination of essential research on the most pressing and contested political issues of our time, increasing societal awareness and helping to build a more informed, connected, and resilient society.
How it works:
Libraries commit pledges to purchasing the 2026 Politics Collection top-up and if enough pledges are secured, the politics frontlist for 2026 will be made open access (OA). A 50% pledge threshold has been set – if we reach 50% of pledges, 50% of the frontlist will be made open access. Participating libraries will receive 6 months free access to the International Law and International Relations Collection and we will begin accepting pledges from September 2025 until the final deadline of July 31st 2026.
To make your pledge or for more information, please contact Kate Horton at [email protected].
