Notes for contributors

The International Journal of Electrical Engineering Education is a forum for the exchange of ideas and innovations in the teaching of electrical engineering and electronics at university and college level. It aims to highlight a range of current trends, from the use of communications and information technology including the World Wide Web, distance learning, curriculum development, validation, and assessment, to reports of laboratory experiments.

Scope

IJEEE publishes articles, book reviews, conference reports and correspondence. Contributions should be aimed primarily at educators working at undergraduate or post-graduate level.
Research-level papers should demonstrate the educational benefits of the research. Submitted material should be previously unpublished. All submitted articles will be peer reviewed. The journal's remit, within the overall context of electrical engineering and electronics education, includes:

Preparation of papers
Text
Typescripts should be double spaced and clearly legible, up to 15 pages in length (4500 words). Please include a PC- compatible disc, preferably with the text in Microsoft Word format. On the disc the text should be saved as a single file including tables. Please list figure captions at the end. The hard copy and the disc versions must match exactly. Other formats, e.g. LaTex, will be typeset from hard copy.

Illustrations
Please supply good quality black and white laser printouts, original artwork or glossy photographs as appropriate. Lettering should be simple, clear and large enough to allow for reduction of up to 50%. Please remove, or lighten as far as possible, background tints or shading. We can accept illustrations as electronic files in addition to identical black and white printouts. Preferred formats are .eps (Encapsulated PostScript) for line diagrams and .tiff (Tagged Image File), for screen shots and half-tones. The resolution should be at least 300 dpi. Please note that we are unable to use illustrations if they are embedded in a word processing text file. No more than five screen shots will be accepted unless by prior agreement; please keep the total number of illustrations to around ten.

Proofs
Authors will receive proofs to check. At proof stage we can correct only typographical errors.
