Journal Online Access

All our journals are available online via manchesterhive and manchesteropenhive, apart from the Bulletin of the John Rylands Library, which is hosted on ingentaconnect. Please see the below instructions for how to access the journals you have subscribed to.

MANCHESTERHIVE

Open Access journals are freely available to access at www.manchesteropenhive.com

Subscribed content is available via IP authentication, plus remote and mobile access, provided via Shibboleth and Open Athens. Librarians and Administrators can view and edit their access settings through the Account Management System (AMS). Log in credentials for the AMS will be provided once your subscription has been activated.

Journal distribution is managed by Turpin Distribution. If you would like to subscribe to one of our journals, please contact them, using the below details:

INGENTACONNECT

  1. Create an institutional account on ingentaconnect if you do not have one already.
  2. Search for the journal and enter your publisher customer number. The required number is your Turpin Distribution customer number; this will start with CU or WB. Your customer number can be located on your invoice, obtained from your agent or by contacting [email protected].

PRESERVATION AND PERPETUAL ACCESS

MUP is now a member of both Portico and LOCKSS/CLOCKSS, not for profit organisations dedicated to the preservation of electronic content, including journals and e-books. Perpetual (post-cancellation) access for institutional subscriptions will be available through both manchesterhive, ingentaconnect (for the Bulletin) and/or Portico and LOCKSS
