Politics

The Manchester University Press politics list is an eclectic, wide-ranging list, providing a range of low-level, introductory books, complemented by key textbooks, topical analyses and research monographs. The list has a number of areas of specialism, including British politics, the politics of New Labour, European politics, German politics, democratization and conflict studies. The cornerstone of the list is the Politics Today series, widely regarded as the most comprehensive and coherent introductory series in British politics publishing, which covers politics and political issues in Britain, Europe, the United States and further afield. The books in this series provide excellent introductions to topics that can prove difficult for students with no previous knowledge of the area, and form ideal introductions for first year undergraduates who did not study politics at school.
