Frequently asked questions
How do I know if MUP will be interested in my proposal?
MUP welcomes proposals from both established and first time authors, in the subject areas in which we specialise. We publish mainly in humanities and social sciences, including art history, history, religion, theatre, drama, photography, film, media studies, literature, politics, law and economics. But because we do specialise within these areas, we suggest that you browse our catalogue to get a sense of our interests and then decide whether we seem to be the right home for you. Most proposals are turned down because they simply do not fit our lists.
